• Argentina is the second largest Latin American country, with a great range of climate and rainfall.
• The capital city is Buenos Aires.
• The country is blessed with abundant natural resources, which were squandered by inept governments for most of the 20th century.
• After 2000, a serious economic collapse impoverished the country—58% of the population lives in poverty.
• Roman Catholicism has state support.  However, there is freedom of religion and considerable respect for Evangelicals, though not all legal discrimination against religious minorities has ended.
• Evangelical Christians make up 10.8% of the population.
• There are 729 missionaries representing 92 agencies
