• Germany is strategically located in the center of Europe and is bordered by Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Netherlands and Denmark.
• The capital city is Berlin.
• Germany has a federal republic form of government.
• A dramatic post-war recovery resulted in Germany becoming one of the world’s strongest economies and one of the world’s largest industrial nations.
• The population of Germany is 82,431,390. 70% of the population claims to be Christian, but there is growing hostility to anything overtly Christian.
• Evangelical Christians make up 2.9% of the population.
• There are about 1,531 missionaries representing 150 agencies from 40 countries.
