COLOMBIA
Our Colombia Team exists to glorify God by being a bridge of support between the local church and the mission field through teaching the Scriptures, and evangelizing and discipling children, young people and adults. We provide many ministries: personal and family biblical counseling; camps and conferences; personal, professional and community development centers; training of Christian leaders through Mobile Bible Institutes; and education through music and the arts to edify the believer and reach the non-believer in Colombia.
River of Five Colors
The Cano Cristales (Crystal Channel) can be found in Colombia. July through November this river bed is covered in plants colored yellow, green, blue, black, and especially red.
Masters of Emeralds
Up to 95% of the worlds emerald production can be found in Colombia. The remaining 5% percent can be found in Zambia and Brazil.
Who Needs a Spaceship?
La Guajira is a Colombian desert. The sand, rock, and terrain there makes it the closest thing we have to walking on the moon here on earth! They do still have gravity there though...
Swimming Buddies!
Part of the Amazon Rain Forest is located in Colombia! In it can be found the Pink River Dolphins! They're like regular Dolphins...but pink!
