La Roca Christian School is on the campus of La Roca Christian Church, located near Lima, Peru.  Our school opened in 2005 with 16 children attending preschool.  It added a grade each year through 12^th grade and now educates approximately 350 children annually thanks to generous World Reach supporters!

Our school started with the purpose of meeting the educational and spiritual needs of Peruvian children in the community of Jose Galvez, where no bilingual Christian school existed.  The school not only provides bilingual Christian education to children, but also serves as an important evangelistic outreach tool for the children’s families, impacting the lives of children and families with the Gospel of Christ.

The vision of our school is to train a new generation of Peruvian children to become leaders and disciples of Christ.  Less than 15% of the Peruvian population is Evangelical Christians, and our school instills Christian values and principles, training children to serve the Lord for all eternity.

Lima has a population of nearly 12 million people, with the majority earning only $300/month. As a result, education is a privilege provided to only a few. The cost of education at La Roca is subsidized greatly since North American teachers raise their own financial support rather than earning a salary. 

The La Roca staff hopes to one day start the first Christian university in Lima.
