Transcript of Area Public Health Officer Mark Mutuku’s speech:

“My name is Mark Mutuku. Mark Mutuku is Area Public Health Officer. Today is my big day. I’m delighted because I was here the first day when we were starting the renovation of this clinic and through the power of God we have achieved our goal. To us this ministry of God is a big milestone. I think the clinic is going to cut down most of the communicable diseases around, which can be preventable. Also it is a milestone to open a clinic during this COVID-19 session. So we thank the Lord and also the World Reach community, which has sponsored the achievement of this clinic. Also, I’m thankful for the community around and the Area Chief who have seen to it that we have achieved our goal. Also, I’m very thankful to the Ministry of Health of Machakos County for allowing the clinic to operate and I think the clinic has met the requirements and it is waiting for the inspection in the future, which I am very confident as their representative, it is going to pass and it is going to have the right documents and certificates. So to me, it is a start. It is a new beginning of our health mission in Muthetheni, in the Muthetheni Ward.”
