We are excited to welcome María Vélez as a missionary with World Reach. She lives and serves in Medellin, Colombia. She has a heart to serve God by ministering to His people and helping them to fulfill the Great Commission. Prior to her appointment as a missionary in July 2021, María served alongside World Reach missionaries in Colombia for 5+ years as a translator and also co-teaching women’s Bible studies. She will continue this ministry.
María joins our World Reach Colombia Team to advance the Mobile Bible Institutes, to assist with teaching and mentoring female students, and to maintain relationships with our graduates. María will assist other World Reach missionaries to develop strategy and ministry to the wives of Colombian pastors. She will also develop counseling ministry for women and is presently working to attain certifications in Christian ministry and also Bible counseling.
