Simón Flórez joined World Reach, Inc. as a missionary translator and interpreter in July of 2018. Before joining World Reach as a missionary, Simón spent several years (2011-2018) aiding World Reach missionaries with translation of materials such as books, videos, as well as interpreting for conferences and teachings of World Reach missionaries. Simón graduated from World Reach’s Bible Institute in Medellin, Colombia, in 2015, and graduated from La Universidad de Antioquia in 2017. In 2021, he and his wife, Laura, were married.
Simón’s duties with World Reach will consist of interpreting conferences related to “Embers to a Flame,” translating various materials, and helping with planning and organization meetings for World Reach’s conferences and Bible Institutes. Simón fills a great need at World Reach through his fluency in multiple languages including Spanish, English, French, and German, and is a great asset to our Bible Institute teachers, coordinators, leaders and other missionaries in the field.
Laura’s ministry consists of working with teenagers and children. She is a middle school teacher. She has a passion to share the gospel with them and counsel them as they grow each day. She also helps some of the children and teenagers with their school homework and explains different topics.
Simón interprets for World Reach missionaries who go to Latin America to teach, but do not speak Spanish. Simón interprets for various conferences, courses, and other speaking engagements as a part of this ministry.
