Our team is dedicated to bringing hope and healing to Hondurans by providing essential medical care through community clinics and dental programs, supporting youth and local churches, and planting churches in remote and unreached tribal areas. We also share the Gospel through a unique theater ministry, bringing the joy and hope of Christ to communities across the country.
Honduras Means...
Honduras is Spanish for "depths". It was most likely named after Christopher Columbus discovered the deep waters off the coast of the country.
Banana Republic!
A term used when a country greatly relies on banana exports. To this day, bananas are one of the greatest exports and economic assets in Honduras.
Two Capitals!?
Honduras actually had two alternating rival capitals, Comayaguela and Tegucigalpa. In 1938 the two cities combined, leaving Comayaguela as a neighborhood in Tegucigalpa.
The Runner Up
Reaching almost 700 miles, the Mesoamerican Reef is the second largest coral reef in the world. Spanning the coastlines of Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, and Belize.
