Missionaries in Peru

Ministry

Our main goal is to train new leaders who will take on the future responsibility of carrying the word of God to evangelize and disciple. We do this principally through the following ministry strategies: evangelism and evangelism training, biblical counseling, and the biblical-theological preparation of pastors. I serve as a pastor and teacher at La Roca Christian Church in Jose Galvez, Peru.  My wife serves at La Roca’s Prenatal Center several days a week. We both serve with young people and with new families at our church and I also teach a Christian formation course to students at La Roca Christian School. I also teach pastors for our Peru Bible Institute.

Testimony

Bryan: Before I knew the Lord, I was going through some critical circumstances about what to do with my life in the future. The opportunities to continue studying closed and for health reasons, I could not continue my football career. Emotionally, I felt very frustrated because everything that I humanly wished for was tumbling down. It was then, in the year 2002, through an invitation to a camp of Word of Life Peru, that I came to know the Lord Jesus, and from that moment on, my life had meaning. I started to assist at La Roca Christian Church where I was discipled, grew spiritually, and started to be involved in the ministries of the Church. I also prayed that I could go to a Biblical seminary, and in the year 2003, I travelled to Argentina to study at The Word of Life Bible Institute for three years. After this time, I returned to my Church, where I serve God full-time through World Reach, Peru, with the wish to finish the race faithfully for the Lord, preaching the Gospel of the Lord Jesus to every person. Acts 20:24.

Evelyng: Since I was a child, I heard about God because my family was already Christians. We attended a Christian church, but they never shared with me God’s plan for salvation. When I was 12 years old I started to go to the new church called La Roca, which started first with children, and I was one of those children. During a missionary story I understood that I was a sinner and would not go to heaven, so that day I asked Christ to forgive me of my sins. When I was an adolescent between 13-15 years I turned my back on God even though I went to church and helped with the children. My heart was rebellious, cold and indifferent towards God. After God broke my heart He brought me back to His ways and in one of the camps for young people in Peru I dedicated myself to Him and gave Him my life and my future to serve Him full time. In gratitude to Him for what He has done for me, by forgiving me again, I started to grow and I started to be more involved in His work and in the ministry. When I turned 18, I went to study the Bible for 3 years at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Argentina. When I returned at the age of 22 I married my now my husband and he and I are serving in His work until He takes us into His presence.

About Us

What are some of your hobbies?

I like to spend time with my family, especially since being a responsible husband and father is important to me. I like going out for a run and training physically. I enjoy walking with my children, nieces, and nephews as well as visiting other relatives. Recently, I have been reading biographies and watching videos about the Puritans.

What is an adventure you would like to go on?

I would like to always have the opportunity to continue training leaders in other countries. But a place that I would like to visit is The Master’s Seminary in California. I only know it by references, but I would enjoy seeing it for myself.

Who from the Bible would you like to meet in heaven?

I want to meet the Lord Jesus Christ – for the vision of who He is and because it would be without the need to hide anything or the fear of being misinterpreted. This is because of the relationship of trust in which He knows me better than I know myself.
